The Eagles Flyer: Volume #11, 2014
Hi Eagles

Another great week around the club. A great time was had by all at the 150th annual Eagles Quiz night held last Saturday at the atmospheric Prospect Town Hall. A great social occasion which also raises a substantial amount of money for the club. Great to see some of our new club members and junior girls coming along and supporting the club.

Thanks to those who came along and a huge thanks to the team who put on the event including DJ and Jess, Geordie and Rosie and the team who ran the bar.

Times and dates for the junior and senior presentation events are on the horizon so stay tuned for confirmation in the next week!

Club news
Some sad news this week - Club Legend Steve "Strings" Horton hung up the boots after approximately 3,00,000 games. Whilst Steve "Nellie Melba" Horton has retired a couple of times in the past he assures me that this time is for real.

On behalf of the club I'd like to thank Steve "Stone Cold" Horton for everything that he has done on and off the field and we look forward to him being a part of our club off the field for many years to come.
Behind the scenes
Each week we'll feature an unsung hero who just gets on with it. If you see this person around the place make sure you give them a pat on the back!

This week's unsung hero is Max Hansford. Max is already shaping up to be a future club committee member and is always willing to lend a hand when he can including manning the scoreboard at home games, helping on the BBQ and tonight he helped dispense over 80 hot dogs at the innaugural Eagles Hot Dog Night.

Well done Max!
