The Eagles Flyer: Volume #6, 2014
Hi Eagles

A couple of firsts last Saturday - our senior men beat Glenelg for the first time since 2002! That means that the youngest players in last Saturday's game were 4 years old the last time we had a win against the bays! Well done fellas. Congrats also to the senior women who only went down by a goal - getting closer all the time and a win is surely just around the corner.

We also fielded a full complement of junior teams last Saturday in both boys and girls competition. A great achievement which makes us only the third club in the whole competition which fields the required number of teams in all grades in order to be compliant.

Well done to all involved and a great foundation to build upon in coming years.

Behind the scenes
Each week we'll feature an unsung hero who just gets on with it. If you see this person around the place make sure you give them a pat on the back!

This week's unsung hero is Andrew "Twinny" Glazbrook. A great club captain who demonstrates true leadership on and off the field. He is a truly committed Eagle and if anyone wants to know how an individual goes about helping to build a great club culture then just take a look at how Twinny goes about his business.

Well done Twinny!

        Our sponsor of the week this week is Elite Ashphalt

Matt "Hopey" Hope played for the Eagles for many years as a junior and senior player and has gone on to establish his very successful business - Elite Ashphalt.

Matt came on board as a sponsor because he wanted to support the Club where he spent the majority of his time from the age of 7 to the age of 24. He'd would like to see the Eagles win more Premierships and hopefully the club can find the next Wes Green (former Eagle who played successfully in the states for several years.

Matt's company repairs roadways, lays footpaths, school yards, gas and water trenches, speed humps, and all other asphalt applications.

Check out his website - or contact Matt via email;

Thanks very much for your support Matt.
Did you know...
Kyle Rosewarne who made his debut on the weekend is the third generation from his family to represent the Eagles!
