Feel free to send us information about your international activities at

   No. 9 - July/October, 2015

Dear colleagues,

It has been quite some time since our last newsletter in July. Since then we have all had a well-deserved holiday, which I hope you all enjoyed.

However, September quickly reminded us that the new academic year would again be full of new exciting projects with lots to do to continue making our University even better at everything it does.

In the international arena September was also a busy month for the URV as it travelled around the world!

The URV attended the conference of the European Association for International Education, Europe’s biggest conference on international education, which took place in Glasgow.

It also attended five fairs: Europosgrados (a postgraduate fair) in Guadalajara (Mexico), the annual meeting of the Red de Educación Contínua de Latinoamérica y Europa, also in Mexico, a European fair in Almaty (Kazakhstan) and two fairs in China (Beijing and Nanjing).

As you can see, our University is continuing to strengthen its commitment to internationalisation and to bringing the best students to our master’s degrees and doctoral programmes.

It goes without saying that we have started this academic year with a lot on our plate, but also with a powerful vision that will help us to stay ahead of the game.

I also want to take this opportunity to share with you the I-Center’s 2014-2015 Activities Report. I hope that you find it both informative and interesting!

Finally, I want to remind you that if you have any international news that you would like to share, you can send it to (in Catalan, Spanish or English).

And now that the time has arrived for chestnuts, panellets, sweet potatoes and moscatell… Have a great Castanyada!!!

All the best,

Mar Gutiérrez-Colón Plana

Vice-Rector for Internationalisation
