Editorial

Dear all,

As you imagine, this my last editorial of the Newsletter.

According to the results of 15 May, most of you have chosen to have a new Rector; this means that there will soon be a change in the URV’s executive council. In a few days’ time, I shall no longer be Vice-Rector for Internationalisation. I have to say that it has been a great pleasure to work during 4 years so intensively for my university. I have had the pleasure to know some of you very well and I have tried to do my best to help you internationalise every aspect of the university. I hope this energy keeps spreading to all the aspects and corners of the university in the following years!

In the few years, the internationalisation of our university has become a very important matter, and it covers issues such as research, teaching, students and staff mobility, curricula of our programmes, taking care of the different cultures in our classrooms, attending international calls and enquiries in our secretaries, etc. For this reason, we should be proud of all the work that we have been doing throughout these years….. and of course, all the work that we will continue doing!!

I would like to give my most sincere thank you to all these staff (PAS) who have helped me during these four last years, and without whom I would not have been able to do my job properly.

Now more than ever, I am going to use the slogan that was created by some excellent colleagues at the International Center: URVery International!!!

Mar Gutiérrez-Colón Plana
—Vice-Rector for Internationalisation
