DCDAR will hold its 121st State Conference on March 25th and 26th 
at the Westin Georgetown (2350 M St. NW)

And we are back to holding meetings & events in-person! 
(with a virtual option as well)

Valentines for Vets Update

Thank you to everyone who participated in the annual Valentine for Vets goody bag making for the Veterans at the Armed Forces Retirement Home! It was our second year making these (due to Covid-19 cancelling another Chocolate Lover's Party), and we are so grateful for all of the participation, effort, and love put into these! In all we made over 250 bags (more than one for each person living at the home!

Upcoming Capitol Chapter Events

 
March 14th: Our next chapter meeting will start at 6:30pm. There will be both an in-person option (Brittany Strupp's house - 1123 I St. NE Washington, DC 20002), and a virtual option (https://temple.zoom.us/j/97474085589, meeting ID: 974 7408 5589).

March 21st: March Chapter Social. Details will be forthcoming via email.

March 29th: National Vietnam Veterans Day Observance - 1pm on the East Knoll of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. (We will be attending in-person as a chapter, as well as online. Check your email for more details).

April 11th: Capitol Chapter Meeting with a program by Hillary Fisk and the National Portrait Gallery (back by popular demand!)

2) Where would you like to see the chapter have a social? Are there other events/activities you would like to see us do? What days/times work best for you? Please fill out this short survey! We are looking to get our March/April socials scheduled ASAP!

  • April 24th - April DCDAR Book Club (3pm via Zoom)

Manor House Park Clean-Up at Randall Recreation Center
Join Manor House Chapter's Conservation Committee for a monthly park clean-up at Randall Recreation Center on March 6th, April 3, May 22, and/or June 12 at 11am
(South Capitol St. & I St. SW; a short walk from the Navy Yard Metro)

Manor House will also be hosting a virtual Yoga on March 27th, at 10am
The class will support of the Na'ah Illahee Fund supporting Indigenous women
