Do girls get more help?

This edition looks at which children are most likely to receive professional help for communication problems. It suggests that a child's sex and their parent's level of concern affect the demand for professional assistance which leads to both under and over servicing.

Senate Inquiry

The Centre recently made a submission to the Senate Inquiry into the prevalence of communication disorders.

The submission focused on the development of language and Language Impairment in children from birth until eight years of age and stressed the importance of language for both individual health, and national health and prosperity.
