Caution - A breach of Rule (K)55 of the Rules of Racing in that a sample that he provided at Leicester Racecourse on 9 April 2021 was positive for alcohol.  The Rule states that on a day where a jockey has riding engagements, they must ensure that the alcohol level present in their body whilst at the Racecourse is not at or above 17 micrograms per 100ml of breath or 54 milligrams per 100 millilitres in urine.  His urine sample was reported as containing 82.5mg/100ml of alcohol.

Notes to Editors:

1. Fast-tracked cases are heard by the Judicial Panel Chairman, His Honour Brian Barker C.B.E. QC. More information about the fast-track system can be found here

2. Due to the current situation and resulting difficulties arising from the corona virus, temporary changes have been made to how the Judicial Panel operates. Initial changes can be seen in a statement here issued on 1 April, with a further operational update issued on 1 June here.
