Richard Hannon

On 24 May 2022, the Independent Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) started an inquiry to consider the accepted breach of Rule (K)1 of the Rules of Racing by Mr Richard Hannon and the possible consequences under Rule (L)47 Ground 4.  It sat throughout the day to hear the evidence before adjourning to 6 July 2022 for closing submissions and deliberation.  Both sides were invited to provide skeletons of their closing arguments and these were received by the Panel in good time.  The issue was whether or not Mr Hannon should face a penalty for his breach.

Tom Marquand

Before the independent Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) : An Appeal by the licensed Jockey Mr Tom Marquand against the findings of the Stewards at Goodwood Racecourse on the 29 July 2022 i- to find him guilty of Careless Riding under Rule (F)35 of the Rules of Racing and ii- to impose a penalty for the found breach of 3 days suspension of his licence.

Mark Kelly Racing Syndicate

On 4 August 2022 the independent Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) sat to consider an appeal from the connections of KEROSINE LIGHT (IRE), ridden by Peter Kavanagh, against the findings of the Cartmel Stewards on 16 July 2022 following the running of The William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Novices’ Hurdle Race (Class 4) (GBB Race) that the placings be altered in that the first horse past the post, KEROSINE LIGHT (IRE) and the second horse BRIGHT SUNBIRD (IRE), ridden by Tabitha Worsley, should have their finishing positions reversed by reason of the interference by KEROSINE LIGHT (IRE) with BRIGHT SUNBIRD (IRE).
