This Week at the Museum

November 7, 2016
What Are Friends For??

What do Friends do for the Museum?
  • Pitch in when extra hands are needed. Remember those shipments of whale bones? Members helped unload the trucks. And another truckload will arrive soon. You’ll hear from me.
  • Provide support for special projects. The Friends are supporting renovated displays in the Museum Gallery. The ground sloth from the Grad Studies Building will be relocated soon. The Friends will be called on for help.
  • Promote the Natural History Museum by supporting Friends events. Such as the Lectures Series last Spring. And our annual Celebration and Holiday Party. Fund raisers, recruitment drives.
  • Participate as members of the Friends through annual dues, and by supporting special initiatives such as the Murray and Ann Blum Fund and the Joshua Laerm Academic Support Fund.

Yes, we Friends do a lot!
Please visit out our web site ( for a list of Friends activities, officers and Board Members.
