Join 4,000 volunteers in transforming 70 city parks
and gardens on a single day.
New York City’s Department of Parks & Recreation is the largest landowner in the city, yet it receives less than 1% of the city’s annual budget. Inevitably, many parks and gardens that are integral to the well-being of NYC neighborhoods and communities go without the care they need to remain healthy and safe places to gather.
As a New Yorker, you can step in to fill that gap in resources on New York Cares Day Spring. By participating, you provide essential services such as gardening, litter cleanup, painting, erosion control, invasive species removal, and much more. The time and money you give on April 16th will have an enormous impact on the future of green spaces in our city.
Here's how you can make a difference.
