Common Catalogue rollout underway

Now that the Common Catalogue is live at Melbourne Health and associated health services, HPV is working on enhancements to this key initiative as well as starting work with other health services to adopt it across the health sector. Read more.

Warehouse management forum fosters better sector data

A warehouse management system forum for health sector suppliers hosted by Melbourne Health and standards organisation GS1 has highlighted the importance of suppliers publishing accurate product information to the National Product Catalogue (NPC). Read more.

Nominations portal improvements

HPV’s nominations portal is being updated in the coming week to reflect feedback from health services and make it easier to use. Read more.

Graduated approach to compliance

HPV has developed a graduated approach to compliance which better reflects the diversity of Victoria’s health services. Read more.

Consistent and cost effective approach to fire protection system maintenance services

HPV’s newly-implemented Fire Protection System Maintenance contract (HPVC2019-157) delivers consistent pricing and service delivery across regional areas, and assists participating health services in meeting their legal compliance requirements. Read more.

Electricity contract delivers value

HPV recently negotiated a new electricity contact for large users (large sites with annual demand greater than 160 megawatt-hours (MWh)) which is expected to deliver a cost reduction of $9 million a year over the next four years for participating health services. Read more.

More assistance in developing social procurement strategies

This month another series of workshops is underway to assist health services in developing their social procurement strategies as part of the Social Procurement Framework (SPF), a Victorian Government initiative focused on social and sustainable outcomes for government procurement activity. New four-year plan to increase accessibility at HPV

HPV has developed a new four-year Accessibility Action Plan to increase the accessibility of our physical work environment, online content and other communications, and promote inclusive recruitment processes. Read more.
