Thursday Evenings from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
14th, 21st and 28th May 2015
Cost: $150.00
This is a workshop based around exploring the variety of pins and catches used to attach brooches to clothing. Whether your brooch is made from metal, fabric, wood or rubber etc, be it huge or tiny, heavy or light what will work best as an attachment for the piece, the wearer and the maker.
We will look at the functional practicalities, technical and aesthetic aspects of the brooch back and make:
a tube in tube locking catch
sawn & wire pins and catches
and whatever else we can squeeze in!
Bring along any brooches you have made or have and we will look at what worked well and how we can resolve and refine some of the aspects that didn’t.
