St Thomas Railway City Rotary Club Business Committee and Board Meeting Sept 19th 2018

We started off the meeting with Al leading us in the 4 Way Test - are you able to say it all without looking?  

Next onto club business - 

We made some Rotary History with our first Online and Club vote, that's some exciting stuff there!!! With Both the help of Sue and Donna both voting through the FB live feed and text we were able to pass a motion.  

On to the Motion that got the online vote. 

Motion to pay 1627.07 for Annual Dues 
Breakdown-  Annual Dues for 2018/18 @$41/member

                      District Conference Levy @ $8.25/member

-Dinner of the Month - start April 
Motion was made for the licence so we can carry forward with it. 
Eleanor has agreed to coordinate the Dinner of the Month again.  Thanks Eleanor :) 

Diane and Sue have agreed to organize a fun Adult Christmas party for us this year, can't wait to see what they have planned. :)  Thanks Diane and Sue. :) 

Service Projects 
Inn Out of the Cold starts for the season on Nov 7th 
We will begin on the schedule  Nov 11th and every 2 weeks after that for the season.
Paul has agreed to coordinate the scheduling again this year.  Thanks Paul :) 

- Thames Valley Tree Planting (Oct 13)
- Midnight in Paris Gala (Oct 20)
- BBS - A Celebration with "The King" (Nov 18)
- Inn Out of the Cold Scheduling

Rotary youth exchange - Al has been out to the schools and the first application has been submitted,  yay!! :)  There are a 4-5 more interested. 
We will need to update our police checks - Vulnerable persons check - to be around for kids under 18 
Ian has emailed out a letter requesting the check that we can bring in when we do the check.  The club will reimburse us for these. 

Board Meeting
We were able to get through a lot of business during the meeting so the board meeting was quick and to the point. :) 

Helen went over the Treasures report  

Wade - Eat to learn program- In the past Forest Park has been the recipient of funds and it was brought up about a possible move to Mitchell Hepburn as they are starting a food program and Dave Westaway (Former Forest Park Principal) is now at Mitchell Hepburn and will be heading up the project there. 

There was no outstanding business from the last meeting.
