St Thomas Railway City Rotary Club Minutes - October 6, 2021
Attendance:  Wade, Bill, Diane, Helen, Sue, Eleanor, Scott, Roland, Sandy, Paul, Mark, Roger, Al

Guests:  Erin Shankie, District Governor

Welcome -President Paul @ 5:30 pm

Diane introduced Erin Shankie, District 6330 District Governor.  Diane outlined Erin's broad and varied educational, vocational and Rotary experiences.

Theme:  Serve to Change Lives

Erin's talk helped us better understand her theme for the year, Serve to Change Lives.  Erin talked about her Group Study experience and the role that this experience played in introducing Erin to Rotary.  Rotary provided Erin with the opportunity to develop her leadership skills and supported her growth as a leader in her career and in Rotary.  Through these experiences, Erin developed a focus on removing barriers for people in order to Serve to Change Lives.  In order to achieve this, Erin challenged clubs to meet people where they are and help remove barriers so people could better achieve their potential.  Additionally, Erin hoped that Rotary would continue to cultivate leaders within Rotary.

Members had questions and comments.  Paul and Helen thanked Erin for her presentation.
