Curtis Rohl was inducted into our Rotary Club by Diane and President Scott. Welcome Curtis!!

Guest Speaker 
Ronald McDonald House Presentation "Giving sick kids what they need most...their parents"
- Diane and Sure presented about the Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario, the house is a home away from home for children who are sick.
- The Ronald McDonald House Charities operates around the world with 15 houses in Canada
- The London House serves Southwestern Ontario from Owen Sound to Windsor to Thunder Bay.
- Families must reside more than 40 km away from the hospital.
- The London House has 34 rooms and is full 365 days a year.
- The house is adjacent to the Children's Hospital.
- Ronald McDonald House is a home for families with children with a variety of conditions including premature babies and cancer. 
- McDonald's contributes 25% of the budget, with the rest coming from fundraising with no government funding.
- families receive meals, free hospital parking, free laundry facilities, comfortable bedroom, supportive staff, homemade baking and coffee. 
- There are 34 bedrooms each with their own en suite.
- Children can use the playroom, playground and craft room. With a teen room with games, quiet room with books also available.
- There is also a movie theatre with popcorn.
- Cart with a Heart enables services to be delivered by volunteers to families in their rooms.
- Diane and Sue are 2 of 48 volunteers who help in a wide variety of ways at the House and answered various questions by the members of the Club.
- The presentation was followed by a baking session at the Ronald McDonald House in London. Twelve other people assisted them.
Special Presentation
- Barb Cockburn presented the "Service Above Self Stick Award " from the London West Club to our Club. Barb and Ken have been acknowledged in the past.
- President Scott accepted the "stick award"on behalf of the Club.

- President Scott thanked Sue for the Halloween Party
