When Every Moment Matters
-Hospice is both a "place" and "type" of care
-Hospice palliative care is about relieving pain and suffering while improving the quality of life 
- Hospice of Elgin symbolizes love, life and care. Care never ends and the goal of Hospice is to provide continuous "wrap around" care for individuals and their family at end-of-life
- Elgin County is the ONLY region in Southwestern Ontario with a Hospice
- 10 beds
Hospice Vision
- a 15,000 square foot healthcare facility with a home-like atmosphere, offering 24/7 specialized end-of-life care
- caregiver support and respite
- grief and bereavement supports
- Holistic person and family-centered care
- services free of charge to patients and families
- care offered at home, in the community or in hospice
- St. Joseph's Health Care Society brings experience and resources
- support STEGH by alleviating pressures
- lowering health care costs
- land announcement will be coming this year
- Hospice of Elgin is in the quiet phase of a $9.5 million capital campaign, already have surpassed 50% of their goal
- over the next year the will be educating and bringing awareness to the community

- Sue updated the club on two options for the club to recognize the hospital staff, drive by in the Spring and sending in pictures with a THANK YOU and she will make a video.  Sue will send email out with more information.
