Sandy welcomed Margaret Barrie Board President for Inn Out of the Cold

-140 volunteers at the Inn
- continue to provide help and care
- seeing many serious changes in guests
- guests are sicker, higher, and younger
- The Inn continues to build their relationship with police
- every night they feed nearly 70 guests
- sleep 15-20 men/women
- 2018-19 served up to 51 guests for 403 nightly stays
- 2018-19 15-30 guests stayed overnight
- 35 000 people are homeless in Canada every night
-235 000 people are homeless in Canada in any given year
-average cost for persons struggling with homelessness and Mental Illness is $53 144 pp
-served 10 470 meals in 6 months 
- Inn opened in 2009
- provide guests with personal supplies
- connect them with ressouces
-Once a month a hair sylist comes in for free haircuts
- special requests put on social media - usually by the next day they have what they were looking for
- generosity in the area is really overwhelming
What is The Inn doing now??
- ID Clinics
-reducing barriers to housing
- replacing lost or stolen ID
help apply for financial assistance
-connect to Community Services
-year round, which means twice the staff and twice the cost
-security will be set up 4 nights per week
-sleep up to 30 a night
- The Inn is responsible to collect $130 000 a year on their own
