Welcome -President Paul @ 5:30 pm

Guest Talk-
Vicki is the small business manager for the economic development team.  She runs the Horton Street Market which has been operating since 1878.  There are many roles for the Farmers market.  1) Preserving farmland and rural livelihoods 2) Incubator for small businesses and start ups 3) Stimulates local economies.  Every dollar spent at the market generates $3.24 into the local economy.  The Pandemic has intensified the commitment to supporting local and providing a safe environment to shop.  Another advantage of the market is it brings people into the downtown core.  "You have to have grown it, made it or enhanced it to sell it at the market".  Vicki is currently looking for a fruit farmer.

Committee Updates
Youth- Sue
Sue reported that Hannah is waiting to find out where her placement will be.  She should hopefully find out in January where she is going and who is coming here.  Sue asked members to put their name forward if anyone wants to be a host family.  Wade's family is going to be one.

 Hospice- Scott
Scott reported that the total donations from the club so far for the Hospice are $9011.50.  Scott also shared that he has had $20,000 donated from his clients at work.  He stated that one person may even donate $500,000 when he sells his farm.

 Art and Wine Event- Diane
Diane reported that they are going to do a test prior to the Dec. 22 event to ensure that the presentation runs smoothly.

Lights at the Park- Scott
Scott reported that the lights are on a timer at the park and do not come on in the morning in case anyone thinks they are not working.  (Kathy)
