Join us for our 2015 Spring Concert at the Glenn Gould Studio
Tonight the Toronto Concert Band will perform its second concert.
At 7:30pm, at the Glenn Gould Studio, we will be featuring a selection from some of the finest composers of our time, like Robert W Smith, Eric Whitacre, and Alfred Reed, as well as some of the greats from the past, like Saint-Saëns and Leemans. We'll perform selections from Les Misérables and the Blues Brothers too. But we'll lead off the show with a fabulous overture called The Hounds of Spring. You won't want to miss it!
It's been a delight preparing this music over the last few months. Our young band has connected incredibly well, and apparently word is getting out - we've grown to 67 musicians. We'll all be on stage and we'd love to see you there!
Tickets will be available at the door but the Glenn Gould Studio is an intimate venue and tickets are going fast. To guarantee a seat, order online and your tickets will be waiting at the door for you.
2015-2016 Concert Season
Tickets now on sale
The dates are locked in and the halls are booked for our 2015-2016 concert season. Building upon the success of this year, we've added a third performance. We'll kick off the season on November 21st with our fall concert back at Glenn Gould Studio once again, and we'll wrap up the season on June 11th there as well. But we will head to Etobicoke for our winter concert. On February 20th we'll perform from the beautiful Islington United Church at Burnhamthorpe and Dundas. The acoustics and architecture of this special hall are outstanding and it's going to be a real treat playing from there!
