ARC England update from Lisa Lenton
Sir Keir Starmer on video call to care sector representatives (Photo credit: ITN News)Hello,

This week I took part in a care sector video call with the new Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer. I was one of the voices raising concerns over blanket DNARs and expectations for people with a learning disability. ITV News reported on the call as part of this article: ITV New Exclusive: Care home residents told they are 'unlikely' to be offered ventilators.

This week's conference call focussed on staff testing and funding, as well as insurance and indemnity. The ARC team and I will be taking these issues forward and we will report back to our members on any developments.

The next ARC conference call is on Wednesday 29th April 2.30-3.30pm and we hope to be joined by Matthew Wort from Anthony Collins Solicitors who will be on hand to answer your legal queries. Email your questions to Liz Collins at
