COVID-19 information and Resources
This week we're focussing on bringing you the latest COVID-19 advice and some resources that your organisation might find useful. Please do share anything that you have found helpful and we will pass it on to our members.

The pandemic situation is fast-moving so we are going to bring Real People to you every week rather than every fortnight so that we can provide the latest guidance from the Government, Department of Health and Social Care, CQC, NHS and other governing bodies.

Representing You
Lisa Lenton, ARC England Director and Chair of the Care Provider Alliance, is working hard to represent the needs of our members at government level at this critical time for the social care and learning disability sectors.

Lisa has also written the latest Department of Health and Social Care blog which celebrates our incredible health and care workforce, explains why they need our support as much as we need theirs. Read Lisa's DHSC blog >

We held our first weekly conference call with members yesterday which proved a very useful forum for sharing and discussing key matters, including PPE provision, infection control, critical worker ID and funding. Lisa will be taking these issues forward and we will report back on any developments as and when they happen.

Look out for your invitation landing early next week to the next ARC conference call on Wednesday 2.30-3.30pm.

Government to provide free parking on NHS Trusts for all Social Care and NHS staff
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is giving immediate financial backing for all NHS trusts to provide free car parking to NHS staff for the duration of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The changes will apply to all on-street parking and open, council-run car parks including pay and display and will suspend charges for health workers, social care workers and NHS volunteers.

Councils will set up local arrangements so NHS and care workers and volunteers can provide suitable evidence that they can display in their windscreen to ensure they avoid parking tickets.
