Hello <<First Name>>,
Welcome to the Newsletter where you'll find out all about Vertical Farming and its many possibilities. To start off with, did you know that the first "World Edible Insect day" was held on the 23th of October? This got us wondering if there are any AVF'ers out there who incorporate insect ranching / farming into their work?

In this month's newsletter you'll find:

Insects are perfect for Vertical Farms - highly nutritious, ecological and not in need of a lot of light

With the majority of it's population living in cities, India will be a critical player in the global development of sustainable vertical farming. It is therefore unmistakably a good idea to join the AVF at the first high level Vertical Farming conference in Bangelore, Nov. 2 & 3.

NYC AgTech Week - report

The New York City Agriculture Collective ( is a group of active professionals and companies involved in the urban agriculture, start-up, and technology spaces.  Sick of the lack of communication between companies, they decided to come together to develop something bigger than theirselves.

They recently organised the very first NYC AgTech week in the big apple. Local New York City farmers were opening their farms and sampling their delicious foods, and everybody present loved it! If you want to read more about what went on from the 13th till the 17th of October in NYC, enjoy this post on
