Downtown Mobile Alliance Annual Meeting Tickets Available


How do we use design to create a great 21st century city...a city that respects its rich historical traditions and at the same time attracts the next generation of doers and makers? Our annual meeting keynote speaker will be addressing this question, along with many others on Friday, September 26th at noon at the Battle House Hotel. Ed McMahon is a Senior Fellow at the Urban Land Institute, nationally known as an inspiring and thought-provoking speaker. McMahon is a leading authority on  economic development and land use polices and trends. The meeting will also offer a brief overview of downtown progress over the past 12 months and the agenda for the coming year. Our Main Street Mobile Award winners will also be recognized for their contributions to our city center. 

Tickets are now available and may be purchased online.
Tickets for members are $65/person or $625 for a table of 10; non-members are $75/person or $725 for a table of 10.

Join the Co-Working Space Conversation

In vibrant cities across the country, co-working spaces are being created, attracting entrepreneurs of all ages. The spaces allow start-ups, or anyone with a great idea, to work in a dynamic environment with office support, high-speed internet and other engaged individuals. The Downtown Mobile Alliance has established a Meet Up group to begin the process of identifing the demand and exact needs of the Port City's aspiring entrepreneurs. If you would like to learn more about this exciting initiative, join the group, or simply attend the meeting at 261 Dauphin Street.


Antiques and Estates

Furniture, china and art from the historic Magee Farm in north Mobile County is being offered for sale at Antiques and Estates at 10 S. Conception Street.
Additionally, all English furniture is  marked down 30% through September 14th. 

Please welcome one of downtown's newest businesses, Fletcher. Located next door to Antiques and Estates at 10 S. Conception Street, Fletcher  offers much-needed dry cleaning and alteration services. 
The hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Jerusalem Film and Exhibit Opens at the Exploreum

Through the National Geographic IMAX film, Jerusalem, visitors will travel to the famed city and see how the culture and everyday lives of three faiths are forever intertwined through tradition and history. Complementing the film are two exhibits: Cultural Artifacts from the Holy Land and Families of Abraham.

Battleship Memorial Park

5k and 1 mile fun run from the Battleship through the Bankhead Tunnel and finishing at Bienville Square. This run honors those first responders who lost their lives on 9/11 and benefits veterans of the war on terror, active military and local first responders. Registration and info.
