Season's greetings from Erasmus+ UK

At this festive time of year we'd like to say a big thank you for your continued support of Erasmus+ UK. In this issue we’ll be covering how you can apply for funding in 2016 and outlining our support in getting you to application stage!

You can find a number of application eForms on our website – simply navigate to the relevant activity page in the apply for funding section and you'll find the form alongside guidance documents and key information.

Before you can submit your application you may need to apply for accreditation – read on to find out more about this important stage. You may also be looking for a partner for your project. We've included some information in this newsletter about how you might find the right organisation.

Finally, we have launched a series of webinars designed to help to guide you through the application process and you can find details of these below.

Webinars open for registration

We have launched our 2016 series of application support webinars. The webinars are intended to support and guide UK applicants who wish to make an application. This year we are running three different types of webinar: live presentation, live question and answer (Q&A), and recorded, depending on the sector and Key Action. Visit our webinars page and book your place!

Getting accredited

To ensure consistently high standards in Erasmus+, some activities require accreditation before you apply. Youth organisations offering volunteering opportunities require EVS accreditation and must sign up to the EVS Charter. Higher education institutions must hold an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). VET organisations can apply for the VET Mobility Charter, although it is not mandatory.

Learning Networks in Cardiff

Thank you to everyone who joined our Learning Networks event at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff! The event focused on sharing project case studies in each of the themed workshops: widening participation, measuring impact and employability. Take a look at our image gallery and we’ll be sharing all the content from the day soon including our case study presentations and a Storify.

Looking for a partner?

There are lots of tools to help you find partners for your project. Schools can use eTwinning and the School Education Gateway. Youth organisations can use OTLAS and publish details on the youth portal volunteering database to attract volunteers. EPALE will be useful for adult education organisations. Higher education institutions can find ICM contacts on our partner opportunities webpage.

Other Erasmus+ news

  • Erasmus+ brochures in Welsh are now available on our website. Along with the refreshed version of our general brochure, you can find the translated publications with sector-specific information on funding opportunities on our Cymraeg page.
  • Problems opening application eForms: please ensure you do not have version 15.8 of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Allow plenty of time to try the eForm before the deadline, ensure you have version 15.7 (or earlier) or 15.9 and read the EC guidance if you do encounter problems.
  • The European Commission have announced a public consultation on the EU's modernisation agenda for higher education. Read more here.
  • The Eurydice Network is a great resource for understanding how Europe’s different education systems work. The network provides descriptions of national education systems, comparative studies, indicators and statistics.

New and improved resources

In preparation for the 2016 deadlines we have been busy refreshing and updating some of our resources.

Our key resources page has been revamped, with a clearer structure and archive pages for past Call years. This page is a central hub for key programme documents such as the Call for Proposals and Programme Guide. You can also find all current application eForms on this page. Looking for our brochures? All our publications have been moved onto a dedicated publications page so you can find them more easily.

After our very successful series of information sessions around the country, we have also updated our Introduction to Erasmus+ presentation. This Slideshare presentation includes a helpful summary of the funding opportunities available and can be downloaded from our publications page.
