Let's get active together for youth skills!

 
Yesterday we celebrated World Youth Skills Day by showcasing Erasmus+ projects that aim to boost youth employability through education and personal development. From vocational training placements to college courses designed to give students life skills, our youth stories demonstrate how Erasmus+ supports young people making the transition from education to employment.

Introducing the first European Universities alliances

 
The Universities of Edinburgh, Essex and Warwick are among the higher education institutions selected as part of the first European Universities alliances. The alliances will form inter-university campuses across Europe, enabling staff and students to move easily between universities, pooling staff expertise and allowing students to choose what, where and when to study.

EPALE launch Star Supporter photo competition

 
Has adult learning had an impact on you? EPALE UK have just launched their Star Supporter photo competition. If you work in the field of adult education, you could be in with the chance of winning a prize worth £100! Submit a photo and a caption of up to 200 words that demonstrates the positive impact adult learning can have – whether it’s formal, informal or non-formal learning.

  • Showcase your work in vocational education and training with this year’s European Vocational Skills Week, taking place 14-18 October. Register an event, share your story and join the conversation on social media.
  • On 28 June, over 20 attendees joined our first Learning Networks thematic workshop. Focusing on Widening Participation, attendees explored key issues affecting evaluation and impact as well as tips on how beneficiaries can improve inclusion in their Erasmus+ projects.
  • Eurodesk UK has launched a new website! With a fresh look and easy to use navigation, it contains all relevant information about funding and mobility opportunities in Europe for young people and youth organisations.
