Get ready for #ErasmusDays 2019

#ErasmusDays are here for 2019, taking place 10-12 October. This Europe-wide initiative is a perfect opportunity for beneficiaries and participants to organise events to promote their projects, have some fun and spread the word about the Erasmus+ programme. If you are interested in hosting your own #ErasmusDays event and showcasing the impact of your project, find out how to get involved.

What can you expect from our new Learning Networks event?

This month will see the first of our Learning Networks events for 2019! Focusing on Widening Participation, the event will offer attendees the opportunity for in-depth discussion, sharing best practice and networking in a more intimate setting. What’s more, even if you attend this one, you will still have the chance to attend one of our other thematic events which will be held later in the year.

We've got sustainability in the bag!

In celebration of World Environment Day, we have launched a new Erasmus+ bag for you to grab at our events. Not only sustainable and eco-friendly, the bags are designed to inspire generations with the words of former participant, Adwoa Acquah. "Erasmus+ was a life-changing experience academically, personally and socially.” Read how Adwoa’s experiences in the Netherlands and Sweden shaped her future.

Enhancing young people's skills with their grandmothers' stories

Have you ever wondered what life was like for your grandparents? What hardships they faced, what inspired them or why they even settled where they did? Erasmus+ project Grandma’s Story deepened inter-generational connections and enhanced digital skills in young adults by collecting and preserving the memories of first-generation immigrant women living in and around Coventry and Birmingham.

Eurodesk UK goes behind the scenes for Volunteers' Week

It was inspiring to see both beneficiaries and participants sharing their volunteering experiences this Volunteers’ Week, which took place at the beginning of June. Eurodesk UK used the Week to shine a spotlight on the experiences of various UK National Agency staff, from teaching English to stewarding at festivals. Other Erasmus+ News

  • For the latest information on the UK’s participation in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps after Brexit, please read our Brexit update webpage.
  • Does your organisation work with trainee teachers who want to gain experience overseas? Find out how they can benefit from placements abroad through the stories of Emily and Alexandra, participants from Brighton Third Sector Training.
  • The EPALE UK user survey is now live for EPALE UK users to complete. The survey aims to gain insights into the usefulness of the EPALE platform and how it can be improved. Have your say – it only takes around five minutes to complete.
  • European Solidarity Corps participants can access a new Youthpass certificate at the end of their placements. This is a recognition tool for non-formal and informal learning and is available for all activity types within the initiative.
  • Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges are just the job for employability according to new analysis of RAY survey data. They help participants acquire and improve essential skills and are especially beneficial for the inclusion of participants facing obstacles.
