Throughout 2019, we have been celebrating Erasmus+ projects that focus on inclusion and diversity, with an aim to improve opportunities for all. From project stories to engaging events, we have heard from a range of inspirational beneficiaries. Let’s look back at our celebrations and see how your hard work has been inspiring inclusion over the last 12 months.

Providing Aston University with unforgettable experiences 

 
International Credit Mobility (ICM) provides vital opportunities for staff and students. ICM funding has expanded international contact at Birmingham-based Aston University, allowing students and staff to study, teach or train abroad. It also brought international academics, industry experts and other professionals to the campus.

Supporting young people to pursue their passions

 
Eurodesk UK are on a mission to share as many youth stories as possible, to engage, inform and inspire others. Four years ago, Joseph set off on a journey, just him and his backpack. Along the way he discovered many new things, including his passion for social action, influencing where he is today.

Welsh school staff in a forest during their Erasmus+ project

Working together to improve teacher well-being in Wales

 
Teachers from over 45 schools across Wales worked together on a well-being project to improve staff competences and raise standards. Visiting schools in Finland and Sweden, staff were able to see how other education systems work, share practice and learn from each other. The impact has been extensive, at personal, professional and organisational levels.

Enhancing diversity awareness in the healthcare sector

 
In many European countries, the healthcare sector is characterised by high cultural diversity of the staff and clients. EQuIP, an equality and inclusion charity, partnered with organisations across five countries to develop innovative online tools which improve diversity awareness training and enhance provision.
