Report from Chinook Winds Commission
By Helen Reed, Chair
Your Chinook Winds Regional Commission met online via Zoom in March and April. Our main focus has been to support and create structures that will allow effective responses to the Pastoral Relations, Property and Land Titles, Fiscal Accountability and Community Support needs in our Region.
At times, it may feel as though we are getting slowed down by
bureaucracy again instead of looking toward the Mission of our Church, but the reality is that if we don’t have these pieces in place we cannot effectively support healthy Communities of Faith so that they are able to be God’s work as the church. READ FULL REPORT

The first annual National Affirming/PIE Day was launched on Pi Day - March 14, 2019! PIE Day had a wider engagement across Canada than expected for its first year, with over 53 registered events,
and many more that weren’t submitted to our list. Events spanned the gamut from small and meaningful gatherings to large ticketed events with special speakers. (Photo above is from Okotoks United Church).
For PIE Day 2020 we are looking at making it more ecumenical, to bridge inclusive, welcoming, and affirming ministries together in our common goals and shared values!
