It’s October! My FAVORITE month of the year. As you can probably imagine, I LOVE Halloween. I love the decorations – you have no idea how much witchy paraphernalia I receive – the smells, and of course with my sweet tooth, the candy. But, in addition to All Hallows Eve, I also love and celebrate All Souls and All Saints Day. These days while the veil is thin, bring a beautiful connection to the other side. Through this connection I am honored by the appreciation from all those Spirits I come in contact with throughout the year. Because the veil is thin, you too may feel the presence of your loved ones!

October also became a special month last year as it’s when Baby Girl decided to FINALLY grace us with her presence. Can you believe she’s turning one? I can’t… I’m taking an odd weekend off to celebrate with our “little witch.” For, in case you haven’t caught my blogs, it does appear she is going to be just like her momma. My husband and I smile because we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

Despite the one weekend off, October is going to be hopping. As promised, my classes are ramping up. Two new mediumship development series start the month. At New World Gifts on Mondays, we’ll be starting from the beginning to lay the foundation for mediumship development program with the Basics (grounding, centering, protection and meeting our guides). This is good for any lightworker, be it a medium, healer, counselor or medical professional. On Thursdays at WillowLight, since every Medium is a Healer, we will be exploring what that means and how to bring healing to yourself and others through intuitive messages. And while not ready to debut just yet, I’m putting the finishing touches on online classes which should be released later this month. Stay tuned!

I’m also looking forward to a Spooktacular Event, Hallowed Night at WillowLight, on Friday, October 30th from 5pm – 8pm. For only $10, you’ll be able to come to our Halloween Party full of table tipping, readings, transfiguration, food and fun! I’ll be there with rings on my fingers and bells on my toes, will you?

If not, may you have a BOO-tiful Halloween! Many Blessings,

Book of the Month
You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

Have you ever felt “crazy” or been frustrated as a medical doctor is left scratching his head because after a number of tests and treatments he’s unable to diagnose and/or cure a physical illness? Unfortunately, this is happening to more and more individuals each year. And it’s likely due to the fact that medical doctors are rarely trained in the Mind – Body – Spirit connection. What’s this? It is the belief that an illness does not only exist in the physical body, but also has a root in the emotional and spiritual bodies of an individual. Hence, for one to heal, one must heal not only the body but also the mind and the soul.

It is my belief that due to the Mind – Body – Spirit connection people begin to heal after counseling sessions, readings and energy healings like Reiki and BioGenesis. I have experienced and heard from so many people with chronic conditions such as MS and diabetes, that after these unconventional forms of healings that after many years being bound by these conditions, while not cured they were finally able to regain a quality life.

Does their success mean I believe traditional medicine should be thrown out the window and that we should go to witch doctors for healing? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I have seen a number of individuals perish because they’ve forgone medical treatment on the belief that energy and spiritual healings would cure them. What I do believe is that we need to honor and acknowledge the power of healing the often overlooked mind and soul.

It is because of that, and in honor of my new mediumship development series A Medium’s Guide to Healing, that I recommend You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. This book describes how thoughts and beliefs create illness. It also gives insight into the potential emotional trauma that may be a trigger for common physical ailments. For example, after reading this book I had a better understanding of my propensity to kidney stones. According to Louise Hay, kidney stones represent “undissolved anger.”  Although I hate to admit it, resonated with me. I know I hold on to anger as opposed to dealing with it… On a positive note, after reading this book I have had a lot less stones! This book has helped me heal my life, I hope it will help you heal yours!

Life of a Medium

For those of you who haven't checked out my blog, please do! Here is a sample, In the Beginning!

If you were to talk to my mother or aunt about my abilities, they would tell you it all started early. They’d then most likely tell you a story of when I was about six months old. At that time, my aunt lived with my parents and I. She appreciated the cheap rent and my parents appreciated the extra set of hands. All three parents changed my diapers, fed me, bathed me, and comforted me in my times of distress – which according to my mother was all the time. I was a high maintenance baby, to which I am certain my husband would say, “Not much has changed.”

Out of convenience, my nursery was a small room situated between the master bedroom and my aunt’s. When I would rouse during the middle of the night (I wasn’t a very good sleeper I’m told), my mother or aunt (my father has ALWAYS been a heavy sleeper) would go in and coo me back to sleep. But, I digress.

To continue with my story, one night, like many others, I awoke and began fussing. Soon after, my mother heard a woman offering soothing words and me babbling right along with her. Glad my aunt was taking care of me and she didn’t have to get out of bed, she turned over and went back to sleep.

Over coffee the next morning, my mother, with much gratitude, thanked my aunt for attending to me. Astonished, my aunt exclaimed, “I didn’t go to her! When I heard you talking to her, I turned over and went back to sleep.”

My life as a medium had begun.

Today, my aunt and mother question how many times the kind woman, whom they believe was grandmother, came in and attended to me. Had it not been for my mother’s gratitude that morning, they may never have known. Spirit operates in interesting ways.
