NATIONAL BIKE MONTH
Every year, the League of American Bicyclists designates May as National Bike Month. This is a month to recognize and celebrate the benefits that bicycling has to community health and the environment, as well as its legitimacy as a mode of transportation.
There are several organized opportunities to get out and ride, while still complying with local and national health recommendations. ACOG is celebrating Bike Month with an area-wide Bicycle Scavenger Hunt. This fun activity is an opportunity to get out and explore your community by bicycle! A list of other local activities can be also be found on the Central Oklahoma Bike Month Activities Calendar.
Now, more than ever, we recognize the outstanding service, innovation, and development of small business owners in our city. In whatever way you feel comfortable, Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership urges you to find a way to support small and local businesses across downtown.
Responding to the census is important because it helps inform funding for key public services for your community like education programs and schools, hospitals and healthcare, roads and bridges, and emergency and disaster response.
Taking the 2020 Census is easy. You can take it online, on paper by mail, or on the phone. For more information, visit okc.gov/cesnus.
