Valentine's Day is less than a month away and it's never too early to start making special plans for you and your loved one. As always, we encourage you to shop local and support local businesses when choosing where to buy your valentines.

Buy a bouquet of flowers from one of our local flower shops, Curbside Flowers, Flour + Flower, Floral and Hardy, Plant Shoppe, or The Wild Mother. Pick up a gift or card from any of our beloved downtown boutiques, including Chirps and Cheers. Also, be sure to make dinner reservations, or place a to-go order, at your favorite restaurant ahead of time and spend the day showing love to local downtown businesses.

Oklahoma Contemporary's inaugural exhibition, Bright Golden Haze has made its exit in order to make way for Ed Ruscha: OKLA opening February 18.

Magnolia Bistro is a sister location of Brielle's Bistro, located in Midwest City. We offer authentic Cajun dishes along with a few southern dishes. The restaurant is run and owned by myself and my husband Dwayne Johnson, and our Sous Chef Cryan Wilson is the man who handles our kitchen. We recently re-opened after an extended closure over the holidays. Reopening was bittersweet because we had no idea what the outcome would be on our first day back. However, it has been a great experience so far. We believe the community has really come together in their best efforts to support us!

Normally we like to check out and spend our time supporting local shops in Automobile Alley. Plenty Mercantile is near and dear to us, so we try to pop in there from time to time to say hello.

When we are able to find time to dine out, we always eat local. A few of our favorites are Hatch and Jimmy B's. Hatch always has a great brunch and I recently tried the trout dip and deviled eggs at Jimmy B's which were both very fresh and exceeded my expectations! The service was stellar as well.

Brielle, our daughter, has a condition called Arthrogryposis which affects the joints. In mid 2020, at age three and a half, she was finally able to start walking! We now LOVE to go to the Myriad Gardens and Scissortail Park to get exercise and enjoy great scenery.
