Oklahoma City has been asked to participate in a national survey regarding COVID responses, re-openings, and precautions. This survey was commissioned by the International Downtown Association and your input will help us plan for a smooth transition on the road to recovery for our city.
Check out the new Night Market at Scissortail Park!
The monthly shopping event kicks off Friday, July 31 from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. It will then take place on the final Friday of each month.
A collection of Oklahoma vendors will be set up and spaced along the Promenade. The central walkway through Scissortail Park adorned with café lights, colorful decorative light fixtures, and white tents makes for a beautiful marketplace. Enjoy a relaxing night of shopping outside with room for social distancing!
Bar service, food trucks, and photo ops will also be available to complete the night out. There will be live music by Stephen Salewon 6:30pm – 8:30pm and sets by DJ Derek Bowden.
As the economy continues to deal with the effects of COVID-19, Main Street America is committed to supporting small businesses as they work to reopen safely. In partnership with The Hartford, they have created a grant program to support brick-and-mortar businesses in commercial districts as they enter the next phases of reopening across the country.
The HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program will fund solutions that help small business owners respond and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also help to revitalize and strengthen downtown commercial districts.
Grants of $5,000 to $15,000 will be awarded on a competitive and first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 50 percent of grants will benefit diverse-owned businesses. Review program Terms and Conditions here.
