Deep Deuce Director’s Cut is returning for its second year on Friday, September 6th at 8:00pm with the movie starting at 8:30pm. This year’s event will celebrate one of the most epic tales of true love and miracles with a showing of the 1987 film, The Princess Bride (PG)! Guests are invited to lace up their boots, draw their swords, and come dressed as their favorite character for the outdoor movie screening.

There will be a photo booth, movie snacks, and drinks for all to enjoy. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs for the movie, which begins at 8:30pm This event is free and open to all ages. Learn more and RSVP here.

ARTSPACE AT UNTITLED | 1 NE 3RD STREET

In partnership with the Oklahoma Film Society, ARTSPACE presents 40 Minutes or Less: Local Female Filmmakers. A selection of 6 short films by female filmmakers from the great state of Oklahoma specially curated by filmmaker Michaelene Stephenson. There will be a cash bar, and movie snacks available! Event is free and open to the public.

TONI MORRISON: THE PIECES I AM

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is screening Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am on Thursday, September 5th at 5:30pm and 8:00pm and Saturday, September 7th at 2:00pm. The film offers an artful and intimate meditation on the life and works of the legendary storyteller and Nobel prize-winner. From her childhood in the steel town of Lorain, Ohio to ‘70s-era book tours with Muhammad Ali, from the front lines with Angela Davis to her own riverfront writing room, Toni Morrison leads an assembly of her peers, critics and colleagues on an exploration of race, America, history and the human condition as seen through the prism of her own literature.

1ST ANNUAL GOLDFISH RACES

The 1st Annual Goldfish Races to benefit Specialized Outpatient Services. Proceeds will assist those seeking recovery from addiction who do not have the means to pay. Join them to find out just how fast a goldfish can swim. Guests will enjoy cocktails/mocktails, and appetizers. A band & DJ to be announced, prizes and raffle items include Alaskan getaways, guided fishing trips, and more.
