STARLIGHT SUPPER PICNIC RETURNS IN 2022

Get your gingham blankets ready, Starlight Supper: Picnic is returning this Spring! We had so much fun hosting everyone in Kerr Park last year, that we’ve decided to do it again on Thursday, May 26 from 7pm to 9pm. In place of our traditional communal dinner, guests are invited to pack their best blankets, pillows, and lawn chairs to enjoy a packaged picnic curated by some of OKC’s best restaurants.

Each “Picnic-for-Two” dinner will include a selection of savory and sweet dishes and complimentary wine (this is a 21+ event). The evening is complete with live music, a cash bar, sparkling lights, and more.

All proceeds from the 9th annual Starlight Supper benefit Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, whose mission is to champion a vibrant and diverse downtown through placemaking, advocacy, and promotion. Join the Oklahoma City Museum of Art this Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6 for the opening weekend of a new, original exhibition, The Perfect Shot: Walter Iooss Jr. and the Art of Sports Photography.

The Perfect Shot will feature over 80 sports photographs - ranging from a girl striking out at a high school softball game to NFL players winning the Super Bowl - that highlight the universal emotions that athletes the world over know well. FIRST THUNDER FEST
MARCH 5 | FIRST AMERICANS MUSEUM

The First Americans Museum (FAM) is hosting First Thunder Fest, a free, family-friendly event that will explore the nexus of First American knowledge and environmental sciences through stories and song, hands-on activities, and demonstrations.

First Thunder Fest will take place this Saturday, March 5, from 11am to 3pm. Numerous events are scheduled throughout the day, including stories from cultural ambassadors, science demonstrations from Science Museum Oklahoma, and storytime with the Metropolitan Library. FUTURE OF SOUND FEST
MARCH 12 | FACTORY OBSCURA

Next Saturday, March 12, Factory Obscura will bring a spectacle of creative collaboration to 9th Street in Automobile Alley for the Future of Sound Fest taking place from 3-9pm. This outdoor music festival features local female musicians and poets, celebrating the return of Spring! The event will be free and open to all ages.

Factory Obscura has an incredible lineup of upcoming events taking place this Spring including OKC Pride Alliance Youth Nights, Adult Nights at Mix-Tape, a Spring Artist Market, and many more. MARCH | MYRIAD BOTANICAL GARDENS

March is here and so is the return of warmer weather and Spring events. The Myriad Botanical Gardens has a full calendar of upcoming events and classes for both adults and youth.

One of the most highly anticipated is shamROCK The Gardens, a St. Patrick's Day Celebration taking place on Thursday, March 17 from 11am-2pm. Other seasonal events include Spring Break Pop-Ins during the week of March 14-18, Farewell Winter! Welcome Spring! on March 19 and their Spring Seed-A-Thon on March 20. Also coming in the month of March are nearly 30,000 tulips to add to the beauty of the gardens.
