MICRO-GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN

ULI Oklahoma and Downtown Oklahoma City Initiatives have teamed up to offer micro-grants ($1,000-$3,000) to help fund the ideas of individuals or organizations that help welcome back our community through placemaking and public art, and drive support of downtown districts and businesses. Applications are open for the second round of #mircOKC grants and close on May 31, 2021.

We know that OKC is full of innovative, caring individuals and groups who want to give back to their community. ULI Oklahoma and Downtown Oklahoma City are here to support those who support others.

OKLAHOMA CITY
BEST CITY FOR STREET ART

Oklahoma City has officially been named as the Best City for Street Art by the readers of USA Today. From the many murals in Automobile Alley to the passageways in Bricktown, downtown is always proud to contribute to the vibrant art scene in Oklahoma City.

Additionally, Downtown Oklahoma City Initiatives remains committed to its mission of
combatting community deterioration through public art, beautification projects, and placemaking. Thanks to all of the artists and leaders who helped OKC achieve such a great accomplishment!
HAPPY PLACE YOGA
A NOTE FROM THE OWNER
 R Y L E E  R I C H

My name is Rylee Rich and I am the creator of Happy Place Yoga, a yoga studio encouraging happiness, body positivity, and healing through movement. We are now open and located inside the Plaza Court building in Midtown, the Best District in Oklahoma City!

Studies show that approximately 91% of women struggle with body image issues and resort to dieting. Happy Place is working to combat this by completely removing diet culture from our studio. We have zero mirrors or heat, and we do not discuss fitness, diets, weight, calories, etc. Our mission is to create a space for self love, and for everyone to leave feeling a little bit happier.

There are so many fun stores downtown! A few of my favorites that I really love to shop are Mode, Common Dear, and Shop Good.

This was a hard choice! There are a ton of great options, but my favorite has to be McNellie’s. I eat here about 3 times a week. I am addicted!

Scissortail Park has to be my favorite. I love spending my Saturday mornings at the Farmers Market. I also love the new Omni Hotel. The rooftop pool is perfect!
