The Oklahoma City Convention Center is a state of the art building, just east of Scissortail Park along Robinson Boulevard that has recently been completed. The stunning new project is a $288 million project funded by the MAPS3 capital improvements program. The Convention Center is next door to the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel, set to open January 26, as the 605-room headquarters hotel.
The center will draw events that bring attendees from around the region and world. It will provide a boost to Oklahoma City’s economy and serve as an ideal venue for local events. The opening will eventually be celebrated with a ribbon cutting and public tours, but to keep people safe, no public events will take place until the pandemic subsides.
We look forward to celebrating the grand opening and welcoming events to the Oklahoma City Convention Center in the future.
The Oklahoma City Thunder's season has officially kicked off. Though fans are not allowed in the arena for games at this time, you can still cheer on our city's team by watching games live or getting updates online from Thunder's Facebook page.
