Because He loves us...
..stay in motion for the Lord!
This has truly been a gut wrenching, search my soul, determine the course, kind of week! One of those precious, and priceless moments in time that comes like a blast of fresh air on a muggy day, and lingers deep down where the 'real' stuff is churning.
Know what I mean?
When God approaches us in this way, it can sometimes be rough. When we make the commitment to step out in faith, and throw up our hands to say, "These are your's, God", or start moving our feet knowing that each step is His and his alone, we might find God has some things to settle with us before we move an inch!
This is where I've been this week.
Together, the Lord and I ventured on a journey in discipline, in understanding, and best of all, in love. He needed me to see some 'issues', to look beyond the surface of my heart, and to surrender the parts of me that He knew were holding me back and holding things up! I treasure these times. If God can speak to us in a way that gently opens the darkened vision in our mind, we are obligated to respond.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
God's love never fails. From the beginning, he had our best interests in mind. When we, His children, failed in those early times, He provided a way for us to forge ahead. His intention was to move us forward in his amazing and unfailing love. Even as the Israelites moved through the desert, He was there to guide their way. When Thomas doubted what his brothers in Christ told him, Jesus lovingly invited his touch. (John 20:25-27).
And in my own personal roadblock, He invited me to listen, to understand and to see with new eyes. He didn't leave me stagnant, and he never will! That's the dynamic of a relationship with him. It's also a wonderful part of the journey we take with God.
We might wander here and there, but I can guarantee you that God above never wanders from us. And when He knows we are ready, and the time is right, he takes the time to invade the spaces of our rebellion, doubt, shame, pain or confusion, and fills us up with Him. Then we get to experience our faith on a new level, in trust and obedience. The journey never ends!
God so loved us that he made a plan of salvation and a way to be in an active relationship with Him always! A wonderful reason to praise Him!
See you next week!
