Cornerstone Presbyterian Church
Newsletter - March 24, 2017

A congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America, Founded 2013

Dear Friends,

It's hard to believe but this Sunday will conclude our sermon series in Ephesians. We began this study last year but with a few breaks for Easter and Christmas, we have finally come to the end of this marvelous epistle to the Ephesians. It has truly been a blessing for me to study and preach this glorious book of the Bible to you.

Ephesians is immensely rich as it begins with the mountains tops of God's sovereign grace and it concludes with very rich application for the Christian life. If you missed some of the sermon series or would like to go back and listen to them, please visit our website cornerstone-pres.org and there you can find audio podcasts and even videos of the recorded worship services. I encourage you to do this if you would like to know more about topics such as predestination and sovereign grace, or maybe you want to learn more about what the Bible says regarding marriage, parenting or working. There is so much there to learn and apply in the Christian life.

As we look ahead to our next sermon series, we will be in Isaiah 52:13-53:12 regarding the One who would be rejected, wounded and then exalted for our salvation. This passage has five stanzas that will constitute five sermons for the five Sundays of April. I'm looking forward to this study for Easter as we look at the wonderful news of the resurrection from the prophet Isaiah.

After our short study in Isaiah, we will then shift to a new series that will carry us through the summer. Beginning in May, we will turn our attention to Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible. You may notice in your Bibles that this psalm consists of stanzas containing 8 verses. We will explore several of these during the months of May, June and July as we learn to love and delight in the Word of God as our treasure, the lamp unto our feet.

I'm so thankful to be your pastor and for the incredible opportunity to preach the Word of God to you. Please be in prayer as we ask God to "open our eyes that we may behold wonderful things in His law." (Psalm 119:18)

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Wilson
