Cornerstone Presbyterian Church
Newsletter - June 10, 2016

A congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America, Founded 2013

Dear Friends,

We have had a GREAT week of VBS at Cornerstone! Special thanks to our director, Hart Barham, and the almost 30 volunteers who loved our children well and pointed them to Christ and His timeless parables. I was so thrilled to see our building come alive with singing, crafting, learning and fellowship. Over 60 children participated in our VBS program this summer. Please be in prayer for them and their families as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I'm also thankful for all who helped collect donations for the New Hope Children's Clinic.  The New Hope Children’s Clinic provides hope, help and healing in order to positively impact the lives of the children in our community, as well as to promote and improve students’ health and academic capability. This year Cornerstone had the privilege to partner with New Hope Children's Clinic to provide 40 boxes of personalized items to give to children in need who come into the clinic. I'm very proud of all the children and volunteers who donated to provide for this ministry in our area.
Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.  (Matthew 13:10–12 ESV)
See you Sunday!
Your friend and pastor,
Wilson's Weekly
Prepare for Worship-June 12
  • This Sunday's sermon will focus on the mystery of Christ from Ephesians 3:1-7.
  • In preparation for the sermon: "Beyond all doubt there is nothing which i quite so comforting, so reassuring to faith, nothing which is quite so exhilarating in the Christian life, as just to stand back and to contemplate, and to understand in some measure God's great plan and scheme and purpose of redemption. That is what the Apostle unfolds here to these Ephesians, and through them unfolds it to us." - Martin Lloyd-Jones
  • A hymn for the week: Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus
