What's New in Canada
Last week the Province of British Columbia (B.C.) announced an expansion of its use of biosimilars in the province. You can find the announcement here.

This current policy update affects people in B.C. who are enrolled in a provincial PharmaCare program drug plan for access to Enbrel for psoriatic arthritis or Remicade for psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.

If you live with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis in B.C. and are affected by this policy update, please let us know
Easy access to a range of treatment options is essential for people living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Here are some updates since our last email  about what's happening in Canada.
Health Canada approved TREMFYA ONE-PRESS™ (guselkumab), a patient-controlled injector for adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.

CADTH’s Common Drug Review gave a positive recommendation for SKYRIZI™ (risankizumab) to be reimbursed with conditions for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults. Thanks to everyone who participated in the patient survey CPN submitted to to this review!

Taltz® (ixekizumab) has been added to B.C.’s PharmaCare program as a limited coverage benefit for psoriatic arthritis.

Enstilar® (calcipotriol and betamethasone dipropionate), a new topical treatment option for psoriasis, is now listed on Nova Scotia Pharmacare.
