Hello <<First Name>>

(gosh it is delightfully, if a occasionally sticky, HOT!)

first of all I just want to send you a big
for being a part of The George Montague Messenger / notsobigfan clan make this adventure all the more awesome

and now onwards, to the news!

I love the city of Bath and Chapel Arts Centre is a gorgeous venue, really excited about playing here again!!

this is going to be an awesome headline show,
so snap up your ticket(s) quick and please spread the word!

plus, I have the marvellous Harry Houseago opening for me!

there are quite the number of other exciting shows + festivals coming up too including:
Cogges Beer Festival, Gloucester Food Festival, Vinestock, Phoenix Festival
Guitar and Grills (at Farnham Maltings) and Tetbury Goods Shed!
so I have updated the 2017 poster... some details are still being confirmed, but as you are on my mailing list I wanted to give you the first whispers...

I would genuinely love you to let me know if there is a city or venue, or even your house? you would like me to come and play - we can make this happen together!

CURIOUSER Tour Diary + notsobignews

quite a lot has happened since I last messaged you, so here are some highlights...

Brewery Blues
Brewery Blues has definitely found a new home at Cirencester Rugby Club, felt so good to be back playing for John and the team to welcome in their new home. It is a perfect place to be and made for some great new faces in the audience, the CRFC crowd that came along were so up for dancing and singing, it was a great night of laughter and music!
As always it was nice to come out unplugged and play ‘Flame’ acoustically in and amongst the audience - and so nice to be welcomed back so warmly with open arms that love and appreciate my music, even just me stripped back with just Gloria (my guitar)
The Daffodil
I loved getting to play with the guys back at The Daffodil, nice to be back on stage as a trio rocking a familiar stage -
big thank you to all the lovely folks at The Daffodil for looking after us so nicely and making sure we were all nourished and well looked after - I have never had a whole teapot with fresh lemon and a ‘milk-mug’ filled with honey before! Perfect soothing for a three set night!
Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2017
with Gloria (my guitar) in one hand and my new Companion Cube ‘Cece’ (Roland Street CUBE EX) in the other I headed into Cheltenham to set up next to Imperial Gardens for my first pop up
…Around Town set at
Cheltenham Jazz Festival!
after a lovely first set serenading the kind faces who stopped and danced on their way towards the festival, the second set in Regents Arcade was even better, with my very own mezzanine /dress circle! So many smiley people stopped to watch and listen as I played!
Really was great fun to be in and amongst the people and to use Cece for the first time… thank you to all the nice folks who listened!
Royal Albert Hall - Verdi
had such a great time with a nice audience of people from all across the globe, including a lovely lady from Japan and a jazz drummer from San Francisco - I really am enjoying playing some more of my older songs and hits from
‘have you met George’
especially when I have a real piano
- thank you to everyone who came along, especially if you are reading this now, thank you Royal Albert Hall and all the team at Verdi
Songwriting with Elles Bailey
more songwriting with Elles Bailey where we have a new song gestating, called ‘Wondering’ - look we are proud of it! Elles has also has kindly asked if I would join her in playing for a book launch at Rise Records in Bristol next week (29th June) - the book is about 40 top 10 hit songs and the stories behind them so we are working on a rendition of ‘Ho Hey’ by The Lumineers
Bingham Hall with The Black Feathers
truly amazing night at the Bingham Hall opening for my good friends The Black Feathers, with so many people supporting Cancer Research UK, must have been over two hundred happy faces enjoying an awesome evening of live music. Definitely the largest crowd I have played to completely solo, with just me and Gloria (guitar) - Thank You.
Wychwood Festival 2017
the crowd that gathered in the Hobgoblin tent was buzzing with excitement and I was so touched by how warmly and enthusiastically they accepted my exuberant nature, leaping on top of one of the tables amidst them barefoot to sing Flame... the magic a festival holds!
THANK YOU for truly one of the most amazing music festival shows I have ever played Wychwood,
you freaking ROCKED!!
and considering it was the first time Rupert (on drums, who I have known for 8 years!) and I have ever played together on stage… WOOHOOO!! Thank You!
You can see the ecstatic joy in our faces…

thank you Adrian and Mark from Glovebox LIVE, and Nick our beautiful soundman, plus John for all your help backstage! This was AWESOME!

before my gig I also played a live session and did an interview with Jon Smith for BBC Radio Gloucestershire
it was great to have a good chat and play them an unplugged rendition of my song ‘Otto Orange’ - you can listen again here between 01:08:20-01:17:40 (until Saturday):
plus I will also mention here that last week I did a great feature interview with Jon for his Saturday show. We took a wander through Stroud and then I played him a couple acoustic renditions on 'Umbrella' and one of my new songs 'Home' (on the hottest day of the year!)
which should be going out on a Saturday in a couple weeks...

please keep your eyes peeled on Facebook and I'll make sure to let you know!

it makes for a most marvellous adventure when you get to trundle off and play a city you have never played before and Plymouth was awesome. B-Bar is such a cool little venue with a hub of students warmly receptive and encouraging of live music by the sea! Thank you to the good folks who came out and stayed to listen,
you are what make the long drives home all the more worth it!
The Half Moon - LONDON
yet another fantastic experience playing in London! THANK YOU The Half Moon Putney for such an amazing night in the big smoke, truly you never fail to hold such magical marvellous adventures!!
I am so grateful to all you lovely folks that came out in support on such a meltingly hot English summer day
(gosh, it was hot!!)
