Gratitude, Love, and Living - A Year Like No Other!
Resilience is the first word that comes to my mind when I think about the year 2020. As an artist, I was already accustomed to working alone at home, but this year I was faced with the reality that nothing was the same. To cope with my anxieties about the future, I focused daily on teaching myself to see and appreciate the simple things around me. Developing a mindset of gratefulness helped me stay positive and focus on what was important, always taking care to keep my spirits alive and do things that enrich me.
As an artist, I always turn to art and painting first, and as a steward and lover of nature, I turn to the outdoors whenever I can. I strive to experience the beauty of Earth, Water, and Sky, and this will be the path I choose to live fully and truly. I believe my art reflects this.
Missing family and friends this year was hard, but health is a blessing! This holiday season, I will reflect upon these things: Gratitude, love, and living.
