Advertising in both PleinAir Magazine and Pastel Journal has already brought in enrollments from California, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Kansas. With our expanding audience in these national publications, early registration is critical if you want to ensure your spot for the May retreat. It's exciting to be able to share the beautiful landscapes of Central PA and the unique Hameau experience with new artists from across the country.
However, our Hameau Alumni are very important to us, and we want to make sure you are given the opportunity to register now.

Hameau Artist Retreat Mission Statement
The Hameau Farm Studio Artist Retreat is a gathering place for artists to share, create, and learn in a positive, supportive environment. We pride ourselves in making each retreat instructional and fun for every artist in attendance; from the beginning oil painter to the professional pastelist, every artist of every medium and level can benefit from Hameau Artist Retreats. Hameau Farm captures and inspires the creative spirit with its unique studio and second floor deck with views of pastures and mountain landscapes. Friendly animals and nearby creeks provide unlimited sources for plein air painting, and the great food and camaraderie compel artists to return year after year. This retreat includes plein air painting for all mediums and levels, with daily demos in the Hameau Barn Studio, individual instruction, critiques, and personal plans.

Reserve Your Home Cooked Meals

You won't want to miss gathering for the fun and camaraderie around the Hameau Dining Table!
Audrey Gay Rodgers, the owner of Hameau Farm, and her helpers cook the wonderful, nutritious meals we eat during the Artist Retreat. Gay will take into account any dietary needs you request in her meal preparations. She prides herself in presenting beautiful meals in a beautiful setting. Her goal is to provide sustenance for all the hungry painters and make them happy.
It is important to note that the farm work does not stop while we are there. Gay must balance her busy days with accommodating us. In respect for her and her business, we ask that you only register for meals you know you will attend (you're always welcome to join us with a brown bag meal).
Please respect our host and take meal registration seriously.

Susan Nicholas Gephart's Sponsors' Art Supply Samples
|
|
One of the best perks of attending a Hameau Artist Retreat is the access to tons of free art supply samples at the "Sponsors Table." I have worked hard to get national art companies to back all my workshops. My sponsors are Gamblin Artist Colors, Jack Richeson, Sennelier, Unison Pastels, Art Cocoon, and Multimedia Artboard. This unique opportunity for attending Hameau artists enables exploration of expensive fine artist quality materials for all mediums. I am looking forward to sharing all the new supplies with you.

We are Excited about the Itinerary We're Working On
It's important for you to know that
Hameau Artist Retreats are organized around registration.
We need you to register now so we can finalize our itinerary for morning and field demonstrations, as well as excursions to other locations. Certain days may focus on specific levels or mediums, but all artists are welcome, including professionals.

About Registration
To better support our Hameau artists, I will be dividing enrollment responsibilities between my assistant and me. I will handle any questions and personal plan discussions, and welcome phone calls and emails at 814-360-2116 and snicholasart@gmail.com.
Assistant, Anna Crane has been working with me for eight years and has done an exceptional job. I credit her organizational skills in the current success of Hameau In December 2014, Anna graduated from Penn State with a BFA in Drawing and Painting with Honors and a minor in Art History. Anna's responsibility will be to register and track all artists attending, after you have discussed your personal plan with me (Susan).
