New Report Tracks Progress

Program staff has launched a new reporting tool to track and share information. The Willamette Water Supply Program Progress Report provides a high-level snapshot of Program activities, schedule, procurement opportunities, projects and cost updates. It is published monthly and posted to the Our Reliable Water website. The March and April reports can be found online now!

Program Update Highlights

Design – Refinement of the pipeline route continues to make progress. The Program team is in the process of procuring design consultants for two sections of the pipeline. The design consultant for the South Hillsboro Area Pipeline Project will focus on coordinating with ongoing road improvements in the area and preparing final designs. The design consultant for the Tualatin-Sherwood Area Pipeline Project will focus on studying routing options in greater detail and produce a final design for an alignment that utilizes the best route.

Site clearing is underway on the 124th Avenue Partnership Project.
Community Outreach – The Communications Team continues the effort to broaden Program awareness throughout our communities. We are now working in concert with the Permitting and Real Estate teams on the right-of-entry process to secure permission from landowners to conduct environmental surveys on properties that may be needed for construction staging or placement of infrastructure. The Communications Team is also developing Individual outreach plans for the distinct communities along the pipeline route. Visit with Marlys at the Beaverton Farmer’s Market on Saturday, May 14 to learn more!
Willamette River Water Treatment Plant Master Plan – The Willamette Water Supply Program Team is assessing plant design options with technical staff and partner agencies. The Master Plan will be completed by the end of 2016.

124th Avenue Partnership Project – Road construction has begun on this exciting Washington County / WWSP project. Construction of the pipeline will begin this summer. This combination road/pipeline project will be finished in 2018.

Kinsman Road Partnership Project – This cost-saving opportunity project with the City of Wilsonville and the Oregon Department of Transportation is moving forward. Design and permitting are near completion. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer and conclude in 2017.
