The preparations for the EGB Symposium are in high gear, but there are also several other exciting projects going on -- including the beginnings of the preparations for the HGGS 2018! I hope to see many of you in Vienna in June, best wishes,

CITES CHANGES IN THE EU
With the beginning of February we have now also seen the implementation of the most recent CITES changes after CoP17, which have created much havoc! The EU has now also published a Questions & Answer document defining some previously unclear or undefined phrasings of the changes. You can find these documents in the knowledgebase of the EGB Website, but here a quick link:
EU Official document
German Version (provided by the Austrian ministry/CITES department)
Many of us have brought this topic into discussions on the Facebook group, but I wanted to point out one important fact: always remember that you are possibly dealing with multiple sets of regulations: CITES, the EU and any individual regulations of the individual member countries, and the regulations of the country you are shipping or traveling to! I have seen that oftentimes this gets mixed up especially by customers, so it is important to point out these differences!

EGB MEMBERS @ GUITAR SUMMIT MANNHEIM
Due to popular demand we are exploring the possibility of having an EGB group space in Mannheim. Several of you have already expressed interest in participating on Facebook, but if you are not using the FB group and have not had the chance to indicate your interest please send me an email! At this time we are gathering information to establish cost and possibilities.
