Important Information for 2021-2022
  • We look forward to welcoming parent volunteers back to campus! Next year, the campus will re-open for on-campus volunteer opportunities.
  • We will continue with our current drop-off and pick-up procedures for the 2021-2022 school year. K-Prep - 12th-grade families will continue using the designated carlines for student drop-off and pick-up. Preschool families will continue to drop off at the designated side entrance of Lower School. This will allow teachers a student-focused start and end to each school day.
  • We will welcome FLIK, our new food service provider, to campus next year. Information will be shared this summer regarding lunch accounts, ordering instructions, menus, and more!
  • We have been blessed with many new families and students for the upcoming school year! Some grade levels have already reached Wait Pool (3's program, 1st grade, and 3rd grade) and several more grade levels are reaching capacity. Many Middle & Upper School course schedules are already reaching capacity as well. Thank you to our families for your support and word-of-mouth marketing!
  • Finally, earlier this spring we shared that live hybrid instruction will no longer be offered. You can view that communication HERE.
Meet The Teacher, Welcome Breakfast, & All School Worship
We are happy to announce that Meet the Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year will be held in Open House style, with our teachers and staff looking forward to meeting students and families on Monday, August 9 between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Mark your calendars now!

We also look forward to a brand new TFA tradition! All families are invited to join us for a Parent Association Welcome Breakfast in Faith Hall at 8:15 on Thursday, August 19. This is a great way to get connected and learn about volunteer opportunities available across campus. Following the breakfast, families can join us in the Worship Center for the first chapel of the school year, a special All School Worship. More information to come and we look forward to seeing you there!

Summer Protocol Updates

We are looking forward to a fun summer ahead! We are blessed to welcome Camp Roar as well as host Middle & Upper School Summer Courses. As we prepare for the excitement of welcoming students to campus this summer, below are a few updates and reminders regarding TFA’s summer health and wellness protocols:

  • If a student/camper/employee is not feeling well or is showing any symptoms such as fever, loss of taste or smell, cough, or shortness of breath, we ask that he/she stays home.
  • We have updated our COVID Scenario Guide according to current directives from the CDC and the Orange County Department of Health. The most notable updates are listed for you below.
    • COVID Symptoms- If a student/camper/employee exhibits COVID- like symptoms (one primary or two secondary), in order to return to campus they must be 24 hour symptom-free (without the use of medication) with a doctor's note for a non-positive COVID case. Previously, the timeframe was 72 hours. It's important to note that positive case individuals are still required to be symptom-free for 72 hours prior to return due to being considered contagious while symptoms are present.
    • Close Contact/Exposure Quarantine - 7 day quarantine option for close contact/exposure with a negative COVID test result (required to test on or after day 5 of quarantine).
    • Fully Vaccinated- Not required to quarantine for fully vaccinated individuals with close contact/exposure to a positive case.
  • Masks are optional on campus, temperature checks will not be taken, and we will be removing all of the carbon shields from desks, work stations, the dining areas, etc.
  • For all summer COVID response needs, including campers, students, and employees,  please contact Lori Dowling, Summer COVID Response Lead, at loridowling@thefirstacademy.org.
