Join the CCP Visual Arts and Museum Division and artist Alfred Marasigan as we close his first solo exhibition entitled PLACES. An artist talk and exhibit walk-through will be held once again on April 9, Saturday, at 3pm, at the CCP's MKP Hall. Admission is free.
Places is Alfred Marasigan’s attempt at sharing personal moments of introspection. For the artist, external spaces, particularly ‘non-places’, have a profound effect on contemplative individuals like him. Because of these spaces’ lack of character/distinction/significance, the subjective mind is able to transform them into places through art. It is Marasigan’s hope that his works will encourage people to re-imagine the spaces they inhabit into places they can eventually value.
Places is on view at the Bulwagang Fernando Amorsolo (Small Gallery) and at the 4th Floor Atrium until 10 April 2016. Gallery viewing hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
