Leo and Alison Hansen’s food truck, Snow S’more, has a dynamic range of offerings as the weather.
Warm up with coffee and s’mores or cool down with shaved ice and ice cream. In this Food Truck Owner Q&A, Leo and Alison talk about how they got their start, what to expect, and s’more goodies.

Q) What got you started on Snow S’more?
Snow S’more was started because of our shared love for treats and we wanted to create something that would be as versatile as the weather!

A few years back we became hooked on s’mores! We started experimenting and started adding different chocolates and flavor combinations! We have found that we are not alone in our love of s’mores!

Direct from New York comes the musical murder mystery comedy, Murder For Two, now playing at Lyric Theatre until April 12, 2015. To solve the mystery of why you should see it, I questioned Lyric Theatre’s artistic director, Michael Baron, about the show.

What five words would you use to describe Murder For Two?
Hysterical, clever, fast-paced, musical, mystery

Now, using more than five words, what’s it about?
The show is a tour de farce in which two actors, who both play the piano, take on the roles of detective and accomplices in a classic murder mystery. This show is especially funny, due to the modern sense of humor, and theatrical ingenuity of the production. It’s delightful from beginning to end. We’re excited to bring this show to Lyric direct from its hugely successful and highly acclaimed off-Broadway run.

Rise & Empower:
A fundraiser for Jasper House Haiti featuring Jabee, Josh Sallee, Chelsey Cope, & Bowlsey
Comedian Ryan Drake will host a concert benefitting a refuge for young women in Haiti at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 at City Pres, 829 N.W. 13th St.

The event, called “Rise & Empower,” will include live music by Jabee, Josh Sallee, Chelsey Cope and Bowlsey, craft beer by Anthem Brewing Company and The Red Rooster Bar and Grill, and coffee by Grounds 4 Compassion.

Founded in 2014 by Oklahoma City native Maria Atkinson, Jasper House Haiti is a nonprofit refuge for young women in Jacmel, Haiti, who have suffered the tragic effects of rape, abuse, HIV/AIDS and prostitution. Jasper House Haiti provides programs and activities that focus on bringing wellness and restoration to the whole person.

"Maria is doing a great thing with Jasper House and I've wanted to help since she started, but outside of just donating money, I didn't know how,” Drake said. “Finally, an opportunity arose for me to do something that I am pretty good at in planning a party to help raise money for her cause. Everyone involved is donating their time and efforts into doing the things they're all good at, to help Jasper House thrive. We assembled one of the best local music lineups possible, booked the most aesthetically beautiful room in Oklahoma City to showcase them, and all the money raised that night will be going directly towards the Jasper House cause.”

Admission is free with a suggested $10 donation to Jasper House Haiti. Must be 21 to enter.
