Myeloma DoD Research and Toxic Exposures Funding Included in Year End Bill
On December 29, 2022, a government spending bill, H.R. 2617, the "Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 into law.
The bill included funding for the PACT Act, which would help those who faced toxic exposures. President Biden stated “It will help us meet our sacred obligation to America’s veterans and deliver on the promise of the PACT Act, my bipartisan legislation to expand health care benefits to veterans. “
The bill also included myeloma research opportunities through the Department of Defense.

Legislators and VA Work to Ensure Toxic Exposed Veterans Are Aware of Benefits
Legislators and the VA have both been working to ensure that those entitled to benefits under the newly enacted PACT Act are aware of their eligibility and how to apply. The VA held a virtual symposium on the matter. To view more from the VA, please click here.
