Dear <<First Name>>,
The current political climate in the United States and many other countries remind us that positive social change and justice requires us to be continuously engaged and ready to take action. This is why YP-CDN, as an inclusive and supportive global community and advocacy organization, continues to grow in its value and importance—we offer leadership and a platform for action to protect the health of the public, from Baltimore to Bujumbura.
Now, we’re hoping that you will take an opportunity to lead with us through our annual #MultiplyChange peer-to-peer crowdfunding campaign, launching on November 28th and running through the end of the year. Your support last year allowed us to make a big impact in 2016:
  • We began our NextGen Leaders program in East Africa;
  • 7 new YP-CDN Chapters across Africa, 2 in the United States, and 1 in Denmark-- all running campaigns and initiatives on various NCD issues in their communities;
  • We brought new voices from young leaders in low-and middle-income to global NCD discussions (such as the World Health Assembly & WHO Global Dialogue on NCDs!) and continued to push for improved access to affordable medicines on a global scale;
  • We launched a new website to better serve our members through event and global health updates, better ways of connecting locally and globally with likeminded people, and for you to use our website to organize and advocate for change!
We must continue to build our movement. As veteran advocate Gloria Steinem says, “Real change, like a tree, grows from the bottom up, not the top down.”

Our ask to you: Become a #MultiplyChange Amabassador by creating a fundraising page, setting your own goal toward #MultiplyChange on our website, and sharing it with your family and friends. This is your chance to help build the YP-CDN community. Our #MultiplyChange toolkit makes it super easy!
Donations to #MultiplyChange will go toward our NextGen leaders program that equips changemakers in health, like Joseph and Mellany, with the training, tools, network and support they need to become effective healthcare leaders, and to run campaigns and projects with impact. We are aiming to raise $10,000 by the end of the year-- and half of that ($5,000) on #GivingTuesday (November 29) alone. But we can't do it without you.
The world needs leaders and ambassadors for positive change. Be one today.
With hope,
Jordan Jarvis, YP-CDN Executive Director
